Odd or Even is a two-player hand game. Both players simultaneously show between 0 and 5 fingers with one hand. Before revealing, one player calls "odd" or "even" — if the total number of fingers shown matches their call, they win the round.
People tend to show middle numbers (2 or 3 fingers) more than extremes (0 or 5). Watch your opponent's patterns — if they consistently show low numbers, bet odd when it's your turn. Vary your own number to break any pattern your opponent might try to exploit.
Odd or Even has roots in ancient Greece and Rome, where it was known as Ludere par impar. In Italy it persists as Pari o dispari, and in Japan as Chifurechifure. It is one of the oldest hand-guessing games in the world, found across cultures on every continent.
